The easiest way to test an IF can/filter on 455 KHz

A generator between 450 KHz and 480 KHz drives (via a small capacitor from (say) 50-100 pF an IF can on the primary winding from the can (a 455 KHz filter with a 7 Khz wide bandwidth). On the secondary we connect an oscilloscope to see how the filter passes the frequencies between 450 and 460 KHz. We can clearly see the resonance peak on 455 KHz on the scope (maximum energy output). Make the coupling capacitor as small as possible, a loosely coupling from the generator to the IF can gives the best results. There are approximately 1000 Video’s on my YT channel. When my videos are reproduced or re-edited on other websites/channels you cannot (!) be sure about the original content (=really working electronics with real properties for a purpose) and important adaptations to the circuits. Be aware of that, I saw on the internet my circuits reproduced in a poor or not proper way. I also found that people probably republish my circuits with phantasy names & phantasy properties, attributing properties to them that they were never made for. Sometimes they want to find gold with them. I take distance from all these fake claims; I cannot help that it happens, sorry. Update 15 feb. 2021.
