The link is below!   / scottswinson   This is a large watercolour from a photo by Levison Wood taken in the Hunza Valley in the Himalayas. My aunty saw the photo in her stream and thought it was one of my watercolours. I decided to see how I went painting it! Sorry for very little talking! When I am painting something unfamiliar then I need to use that part of my brain that is not used for speech. If you have any questions let me know. The painting was painted on Rives BFK etching paper, white, 280gsm, 56cm x 76cm, by Arches. The colours used were all Winsor and Newton artist quality paints: cobalt blue mix of winsor blue red shade and light red When I did the other layer I used yellow ochre So not many colours! It was painted predominately using 2 inch and 4 inch hake brushes. I also at times used my size 12 pure kolinsky round sable, tissues, trusty spray bottle and the paper was taped down onto a large mdf board using sellotape from Woolworths in Australia. Probably best to source this from your local store so you can look after the paper and not have it posted unless you are buying a large amount of paper and it will be looked after. There is nothing worse than getting hundreds of sheets all with a indent in them.
