When the police force got suspicious and chased him, the bike rider fired at the police party with the intention to kill. In the retaliatory action taken by the police force in self-defense, the accused got injured due to a bullet in his leg. He has been identified as Sonu alias Nizam son of Mehar alias Mahruddin alias Allamehar, resident of New Basti Patti Mudala Nala near town and police station Khekda Baghpat. 01 pistol .315 bore and 01 live cartridge .315 bore and 01 empty cartridge .315 bore and a stolen motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the accused. The accused has been sent to the hospital for treatment.
