Questo mix di razze conferisce al ragazzo delle caratteristiche fisiche e somatiche davvero uniche. Alto 1 e 80, ama fare sport ma sopratutto cantare. Sin da piccolo ha sempre cercato di apprendere le varie tecniche canore, sia moderne sia classiche, nonché liriche, perfezionandosi giorno dopo giorno. Questa sua passione e maniacale ricerca della perfezione lo ha portato, nonostante la sua giovane età, a girare il mondo alla ricerca di quello che lui ama definire "il suono di DIO". Le sue più grandi fonti di ispirazione musicale sono stati i cantanti dal repertorio cosiddetto Soul and R&B, tra cui John Legend, Daniel Merryweather, Anthony Hamilton ma ha sviluppato anche una forte passione per Christina Aguilera, della cui cantante, porta tatuata sul braccio la frase di una canzone: "I will be". Il singolo d'esordio FALLIN' RAIN è stato oggetto di una contesa incredibile se si pensa che è un brano "soul" di un'artista emergente: dagli Stati Uniti al Giappone, dalla Germania all'Inghilterra, dalla Spagna alla Grecia, si sono mossi tutti i più grandi produttori di questo genere. Alessandro ha però deciso di restare in Italia e di tentare la sua scalata al successo partendo proprio dal nostro paese e lo ha fatto avvalendosi di due talentuosi e noti "personaggi" dell'industria musicale italiana: Emiliano Pepe (autore del brano) e Pierpaolo Peroni (produttore del brano e già noto al pubblico per essere la figura storica al fianco di Max Pezzali sin dall'esordio). L'amicizia tra Pierpaolo Peroni ("Pierpa" per gli amici) e Max Moroldo fa approdare Mahmoud in Do It Yourself. I connotati più dance dell'etichetta di Moroldo spingono quest'ultimo a produrre da subito dei remix del brano. Remix che vengono affidati alle sapienti menti (e braccia) di Gianni Bini e Simone Vitullo: italianissimi anche loro. Se pur in due mondi diversi del genere house, sia Bini sia Vitullo confezionano due grandi remix. Quello del viareggino Bini (già remixer di Jamiroquai, Backstreet Boys, George Benson, Vasco Rossi e tanti altri) più radiofonico mentre quello di Vitullo più con l'occhio ai "dancefloor" oltre confine. FALLIN' RAIN è un vero diamante e come tale ha tante diverse "facce" tra cui una splendida versione acustica che farà innamorare tutte le fans (e sono già tante) di Alessandro... che piova quindi! Alessandro Manny, a.k.a. Mahmoud, is from Milan but half-breed, egyptian dad and sardinian mom. This mix gave him unique features. 1,80 tall, loves sports and singing above anything. Since he was a child, he always trained different singing techniques, both modern and classical, but also opera, refine it on a day by day basis. This passion and the manic search of perfection led him, though his young age, to tour the world to pursue what he calls "The sound of God". His deepest inspirational sources have been the singers of the so called soul and R&B, such as John Legend, Daniel Merryweather, Anthony Hamilton, but also developed a great respect for Christina Aguilera, of whom he tattoed on his arm, the the title of the song "I will be". His debut single "FALLIN' RAIN" has been subject to a real sought after, also considering that it's a soul track by a newcomer: from the States, to Japan, from Germany to the UK, from Spain to Greece, all of the biggest producers of the genre showed interest. Nevertheless, Alessandro decided to stay in Italy and start his climb to success from his own country and he did it availing himself of two talented and notorious producers of the italian music scene: Emiliano Pepe (writer of the song) and Pierpaolo Peroni (producer of the song and famous on the local scene for his partnership with Max Pezzali as of his debut). The friendship between Pierpaolo Peroni ("Pierpa" for his friends) and Max Moroldo, led Mahmoud to Do It Yourself. The more dance oriented characteristic of Moroldo's label, push him to launch the project with a few dance remixes, which have been deveopled by the skillful minds of Gianni Bini and Simone Vitullo: as well Italians. Though from to different areas of house music, both Bini and Vitullo, wrapped up two great remixes. Bini's one (Jamiroquai, Backstreet Boys, George Benso and Vasco Rossi among his works) more radio friendly, while Vitullo's is aiming at the international dancefloors. FALLIN' RAIN is a real diamond and, as such, owns different sides, including a stunning acoustic version which will lead all female fans to fall in love with him... so let's get RAIN!
