The Cadets had two Billboard chart entries with "Why Don't You Write Me?" (#82 Hot 100, #3 R&B) in November 1955 and "Stranded in the Jungle" (#15 Hot 100, #4 R&B) in July 1956. "Church Bells May Ring" did not chart nationally in Billboard, but was released as a single in March 1956. Versions of "Church Bells" did chart for the Willows at #62 on the Hot 100 in April 1956 (#11 R&B) and #14 on the Hot 100 for the Diamonds in April 1956. The Willows also bubbled under the Hot 100 with the record at #114 in March 1961. Original Billboard review: "The group covers the Willows' version of the tune with a free-swinging, happy job. The tune is strong and some of the loot should come this way." Billboard rating: 72 out of 100. Written by Craft and Willows. B-side is "Heartbreak Hotel".
