Ben Fox - Paralympic Basketball | Interview at New College Swindon

We caught up with Paralympic Basketball player, Ben Fox, who recently got back from Paris with a Silver Medal after competing in Basketball. Ben is a former New College Swindon Sports BTEC student (2012-2014) that advocated for his basketball team, Swindon Shock. When they lost their practice venue, the Walcot Dome, Ben secured a new venue at the Sports Centre at our Queens Drive campus as well as funding for two years worth of hire. Swindon Shock now practice four hours per week including regular games and the Sports Centre also host the local wheelchair Rugby team. Ben is a huge advocate for New College Swindon and the sports lecturers, facilities and opportunities. He says that they have helped him get to where he is today, and frequently returns to inspire the next generation of students, who think "what if".
