It can be due to the formation of blood clots or Atherosclerosis. More detailed and easy to understand information is provided in this online Neurology Medicine lecture. Ischemic stroke Pathogenesis is discussed by taking small artery occlusion, large artery atherosclerosis, cardio aortic embolism, and other unknown factors into account. The small artery occlusion leads to acute infarction of basal or brainstem penetrating arteries. In large artery Atherosclerosis, the atherosclerotic plaque decreases the diameter of intra or extracranial vessels. On the other hand, clots from the heart travel to the brain in cardio aortic embolism. All of the factors contributing to stroke pathophysiology causes a decrease in cerebral blood flow. This decrease, in turn, causes Inflammation and necrosis. Then information about the pathophysiology of cerebral ischemia is also provided in the form of a cascade in this lecture for medical students. It is also discussed for medical students to differentiate between stroke etiology classification i.e. an ischemic stroke or hemorrhagic stroke through brain imaging to carry out an effective approach to patients of stroke and TIA management. The treatment of acute ischemic stroke includes medical support by taking subcutaneous heparin, antipyretics, and performing hemicraniectomy. Along with this, its treatment encompasses endovascular re-vascularization, anti-thrombotic treatment, and neuro-protection. Indications and contraindications for intravenous thrombolysis are also explained. ▬ 🎬 1400+ Medical Video Lectures ▬▬▬▬▬ Download sqadia.com Medical Apps today and start your Neurology Education - V-Learning™ is here! 📲 https://play.google.com/store/apps/de... 📲 https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id15010... ▬ 🩺 About sqadia.com ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Medical Students Online education 24/7/365.
