This video shows how to diagnose and repair a Toro 22298 commercial lawn mower with Kawasaki FJ180V-AM25 engine, that either starts, revs instantly, and dies, or won't start at all. This machine was left sitting with ethanol based fuel in it, causing the carburetor to be coated in varnish, the float needle in the bowl to hang up, and fuel to leak from the fuel tank, through the carburetor, and into the engine crankcase (hence the smoke show at the end of the video... gasoline contaminated engine oil). This old fuel leaking through the carburetor throat, caused the throttle plate shaft to seize in the wide-open throttle position.
