On September 11 2023, Cannington Cecil Avenue section towards Albany Highway between Cannington Station and Carousel Road has finally reopened, after almost a year and a half of closure for upgrade works. With this, all routes that originally use it have returned to its original path, without doing that long loop around the back. At the same time, Route 280 towards Carousel Shopping Center is now also running along Cecil Avenue and then turns into Carousel Road for the 1st time ever since October 10 2022 With this, Stop 13628 Carousel Rd Before Cecil Av is no longer served by many routes, including Routes 34, 72, 100, 177, 206 towards Murdoch University, 208 towards Murdoch Station and 507, 508, 509 towards Bull Creek Station. Please use Stop 13633 Cecil Av Before Carousel Rd Also, Stop 20151 Carousel Rd After Cecil Av is finally back in use after almost a year and a half, with Route 280 stopping for the 1st time ever, along with Routes 202, 203 and 229 All buses from Cannington will no longer use that roundabout at Grose Avenue and Carousel Road.
