Webinar 1 Using eArchiving standards for system-independent storage of authorisation metadata

This eArchiving Initiative webinar presents a series of standards and recommendations offered by the European Commission’s eArchiving initiative, which define an Archival Information Package (AIP) designed to preserve the archival content with structural, descriptive, technical and preservation metadata. Use cases illustrate how eArchiving metadata can specify restrictions concerning software or human agents that want to manipulate the AIP (e.g., preservation actions). This includes demonstrating how the changes can be versioned and documented and how access conditions and agreements regarding the usage of DIPs can be made to persist as part of the AIP.
