The Late Veteran Prophet, ST MOSES BASORUN MAAYO aka Baba Maayo who is the founder of the New Jerusalem Rock of Ages Cherubim & Seraphim Church in Ajao Estate area of Lagos state was a man of pious living for all the years of his prophetic ministerial activities at the old Lagos Bar-Beach where he ran a ministry known as Oke Baba Maayo. Olajide Opaleye from a Muslim home in Ibadan, Oyo State joined Baba Maayo at age 17 and grew through strict tutelage and strong discipline as he was instantly adopted by the veteran prophet. At several times he acted as Special Assistant, Son, Cook and Confidant to the great prophet. He was the only one allowed to cook Baba’s meal until Baba passed away in Year 1999 (January 29th) at age 83. Today, Prophet JIDE OPALEYE runs his own church in Ikorodu area of Lagos. Recently he was a guest of Prophet (Dr.) Segun Adebayo whom he described as his leader and ‘elder brother’ from the Basorun Moses Maayo Prophetic Family.
