Scottish Power Pipe Band playing its medley in the grade 1 competition at the 2024 Gourock Highland Games. This was the first competitive event of 2024 for five of Scotland's Grade One bands. The adjudicators for Grade One were John Wilson & Barry Donaldson (piping), Allan Craig (drumming) and Cameron Edgar (ensemble) - not as listed in the programme. The band is playing under the direction of Pipe Major Christopher Armstrong and the Drum Sergeant was Jake Jorgensen. Firstly the band seems to be playing with only two tenor drummers, each playing two drums. Secondly, the band performs a chanter cut out during the medley. Scottish Power Pipe Band was placed first by both piping judges, but a fourth place for drumming and a third places for ensemble meant the band was in joint second place. An ensemble preference moved the band down to third place.
