Dry skin is a very common problem especially in Bangalore because of the weather. Skin dryness increases in old age and people who are having recurrent cold cough problems and asthma problems and breathing problems. They can have dry skin problems. Dry skin varies from place to place and person to person. It has been observes that dry skin comes in the family also. It also depends on the weather. If the weather is cold the dryness will increase and if the weather is humid dryness will be lesser. Usually we tell patients to use lot of moisturisers. In mild itching mild steroid lotions are available. Even oral moisturisers are available. Allergic people should apply more moisturisers or vegetable oils or something like that.
