A 51-year-old man with fever and stomach pain was found to have a large liver abscess and PVT. He was successfully treated with antibiotics, blood thinners, and drainage of the abscess. Only six such cases have been reported so far. Symptoms usually include fever, abdominal pain, and tiredness. While some patients recover with proper treatment, others may face life-threatening complications, showing the importance of early diagnosis and care.
