Since the rise of the BJP in India, under the Leadership of Prime Minister Modi, religious minorities have faced horrendous outcomes in India. From clear human rights violations like the lynching, health care discrimination and xenophobic citizenship policies, India is paving a dangerous path towards an ethnic cleansing of vulnerable people, especially Muslims. In this webinar we learned about the most recent atrocities being pushed by the Indian government, and how you can help in the campaign to spread human security. Junaid Ahmed is the President of the Chicago chapter of the Indian American Muslim Council, IAMC and a member of the national board of directors. He has been an active member of the community from an early age participating in Young Muslims and MSA during school days. He is part of ICNA and South Asian Solidarity for Justice. He has coordinated many interfaith events and programs advocating for peaceful bonds between communities. He has an MBA from University of Chicago, Booth School of Business and Bachelor degree from DePaul University, Chicago.
