Two new metro corridors have been approved, set to transform connectivity across key areas of Gurugram. These routes will significantly enhance the city's rapid transit network, linking densely populated regions with major business districts. These new corridors are in addition to the 28.5-kilometre Gurugram Metro project, which was previously approved to connect Millennium City Centre to Cyber City. The expansion aims to address the growing demand for efficient public transportation in one of India’s most rapidly developing cities. Notably, this route will run over the popular Sohna Road and will connect with the projected Delhi-Gurugram-Alwar RRTS line at Rajiv Chowk, as well as the previously approved metro extension from Millennium City Centre Metro Station to Gurugram Railway Station. This line will follow Sheetla Mata Road, connecting highly inhabited regions to the metro network. These routes were approved at the HMRTC's 57th board meeting in Chandigarh, chaired by Chief Secretary T V S N Prasad.
