What if Sansa Stark Successfully Married Loras Tyrell? Let's explore the depths of it in the video. Discord: / discord YT: / @threeeyedtheorist Voice Acting & Narration: Steven Waters @bobablackfly602 The gardens of the Red Keep are in bloom with a precarious summer, on the edge of winter. A riot of roses and ivy wind across carved stone walls. At a table shaded by a lattice, Lady Olenna Tyrell and her gaggle of handmaidens and relatives sit across from Sansa Stark. Beside Olenna is her granddaughter Margaery, radiant in pale green silk. A servant pours wine and Butterbumps the fool dances nearby, performing tricks to entertain the children and bored noblewomen alike. Olenna studies Sansa with wisened old eyes. Olenna: “You poor child. Your betrothed is the King, and yet you smile so little. Tell me, truly, how do you find Joffrey? Be honest, girl.” Sansa stiffens. The question is dangerous. Every instinct she has tells her to say only what is safe. She toys with her goblet and the hem of her dress, avoiding Olenna’s sharp gaze. Margaery notices the hesitation and leans forward, her tone soft and sisterly. Margaery (gentle): “You need not fear us, Lady Sansa. Grandmother and I only want what is best for you, and to know the truth of the King. You are among friends.” Sansa: (Fightened): “Varys, he…He has spies everywhere. They will hear me. They will hear me and they will tell him what I’ve said and he will tell Joffrey, and…” Sansa trails off. Olenna shakes her head and gestures to Butterbumps. The fool inclines his head to listen, his bells jingling on his head and little chicks chirping at his feet as he was just about to perform a trick with them. Olenna: “Fool! Give us a song. And make it a nice and long one. And loud, too. The Bear and The Maiden Fair should serve.” Butterbumps clears his throat, belches, and then begins to sing loudly and off-key of the bear and the maiden fair. The fool stomps and claps, shaking the table with every line. His bawdy performance is so loud that no one beyond the table could possibly overhear. Olenna leans in, her eyes affixed on Sansa once more. Olenna: “Now, child. No one is listening. Give us the truth.” Sansa lowers her gaze and her voice trembles as she finally feels comfortable enough to speak. Sansa (Voice shaking): “He is…Horrible. And cruel. He frightens me. When I displease him, he has ser Mandon and ser Preston beat me. He showed me my father’s head and took pride in mocking his death.” Olenna(drlyly): “We should have seen that. The boy has all of his Mother’s malice and none of his father in him besides maybe the temper. I’ll not have my little rose Margaery subjected to such a frightening marriage.” Olenna gives a satisfied nod. She has decided her course of action to deal with the King, now. Margaery rests a hand over Sansa’s, warm and reassuring. Margaery (smiling): “Then perhaps you need not suffer him anymore. What would you say if you were given another match: One that made you part of our family? My brother is unwed, and I would love if we could be good-sisters.” Sansa, blinks, startled. Her heart races and she accepts in nearly an instant. Sansa (breathless, hopeful): “Do you mean…Loras? I accept, yes! I-I never imagined…” Margaery’s smile falters for an instant. She exchanges a quick look with her grandmother. Olenna clears her throat and speaks again. Olenna: “We meant Willas, the heir of highgarden. A good, clever boy. Not much of a lance or sword given his injuries, perhaps, but he is kind and intelligent. He would treat you well.” Sansa(hesitant, flustered): “But, I thought…Forgive me, I truly thought you meant ser Loras. I know him, ive met him. I do not know Willas.” Ollena (musing): “A kingsguard knight, sworn to never wed. And yet…Perhaps vows may be broken. Ser Loras is unstable after Renly’s death, is he not? He killed several of his fellow knights in his grief. He even served an opposing king. There would be grounds to release him from his vows.” Margaery makes to carefully warn her grandmother, but Olenna waves her off. A decision has already begun forming in the wise old woman’s head. Olenna (smiling): “Yes. Perhaps Loras may be dismissed from his vows, in a way that pleases the crown. And if it pleases you, too, Lady Sansa, then perhaps a wedding to Ser Loras can be arranged.” Sansa gasps, joy sparking in her eyes for the first time in months. Amidst the torture she has endured from Joffrey, and her grief at the loss of her family, something good has finally happened to her. #gameofthrones #gameofthroneswhatif #whatif
