Exploring Wilkes Barre takes us on a tour of my home city. The Wyoming Valley is at the heart of Pennsylvania where many cities lead back to Wilkes Barre. This was ground zero for anthracite coal, which was transported to almost every city in PA to build the foundations of the industrial age. In this tour we explore the best of Wilkes Barre on this foggy winter day and reflect on the many festivals of the diamond city, starting with the Public Square, then the River Commons, Kirby Park, the Stegmaier and Lions Head Brewery, and close our adventure in Seven Tubs Nature Area.
