FOX 5 Covers Roads to Success First Annual Spelling Bee | Celebrating 25 Years

FOX 5 highlights the Roads to Success First Annual Spelling Bee Challenge, held on February 17, 2026, as part of our 25th year of serving New York City youth. This inaugural event brought together 3rd through 5th grade students from our Brooklyn after-school sites for an inspiring academic competition rooted in preparation, confidence, and courage. Over five weeks, students engaged in structured literacy training — strengthening vocabulary, verbal reasoning, and language comprehension — before stepping onto the stage to compete at their grade level. At Roads to Success (RTS), literacy is a cornerstone of our elementary after-school programs. For 25 years, RTS has supported young people across NYC in building strong academic foundations, expanding opportunity, and developing the skills needed for long-term success.
