Grand Tasting Event in Bratislava has once again pushed the boundaries of experiential wine tasting. For the fifth time, lovers of exclusive wines gathered at the unique Grand Tasting Event, which represents the pinnacle of public wine experiences in Slovakia. This year, the meeting took place in the elegant surroundings of Bistric Restaurant in Bratislava, where sommelier Adam Greksa once again proved that his events belong to the elite of the Slovak wine world. The evening was marked by Italian exclusivity and guests had the opportunity to taste an exceptional selection of wines from renowned producers. A characteristic feature of the Grand Tasting Event, which significantly distinguishes it from ordinary tastings, is the opportunity to taste wines that boast the highest international awards and are often almost unavailable on the regular market. Adam Greksa never prefers just one producer or distributor, but always tries to bring his guests the best bottles in the world, in the best vintages. This year's event saw guests discover, for example, the unusual sparkling wine made from Nebbiollo grapes by Parusso or a unique six-liter bottle of Vintage Tunina 2015 by Jermann. In addition, the new stars of Sicilian winemaking, Gaja Idda, were also introduced, in both white and red shades. The highlight of the evening was the tasting of three iconic wines, whose names resonate in the heart of every wine connoisseur: Gaja Barbaresco 2018, the legendary Sassicaia 2016, awarded three perfect 100/100 points by prestigious critics, and the exceptionally fresh and still lively Barolo from 1967, which has not lost its intense fruity elegance even after decades. Excellent food is an integral part of quality wines. The culinary experience was provided by chef Peter Gogál, the recent winner of the prestigious Falstaff and Gault Millau awards, who delighted guests with exquisite delicacies such as scallops, guinea fowl and veal chop. The legendary musical trio Marian Greksa, Henry Toth and Laco Kováč provided entertainment during the evening, which kept guests dancing until the early morning with their energetic performance. 64 enthusiastic visitors left not only with a smile, but also with the desire to secure tickets in time for the next continuation of the Grand Tasting Event, which will take place again at Bistric Restaurant in the second half of October 2025.
