Hello everyone, today we're going to take a short look at what a freshly applied coating looks like on your vehicles surface. With every customer vehicle we coat, a free complimentary first wash is a great way for us to check our work one final time and it also allows us to see how uniform the coating application was. Yes water beading is fun and satisfying to watch but it's also a great way to see the "health report" of the coated surface's. We're looking for uniformity and tightness. This particular Hybrid Ford Escape received a 2 stage paint correction courtesy of Scholl's concepts S3 Gold XXL and S2 shock for our initial cutting pass. We then followed up with S40 Black for our finishing passes. Once all of the panels were chemically prepped and stripped via Carpro eraser and Rust-Oleum wax and tar remover, we applied 2 layers of UK 3.0 and 2 layers of SiC to all the painted surfaces and to all of the plastic trim pieces. We gave Carpro Forte V4 and FlyBy30 a try on this vehicle but to be honest we weren't too happy with the results and we'll be switching back to Gtechniq G1 smart glass at a later date. We felt the Carpro glass coating application methods took a little too much effort and too much time for what they're worth.
