Foreigner - Heart Turns to Stone (AOR Guitar Cover)

This was a request from, and is a dedication to, Paul Finnie, my friend and bandmate, who passed away suddenly after our gig on the 4th of August. Paul released albums and toured the world with the band Power Quest before joining the Def Leppard tribute band, Hysteria, at the same time as myself. As well as having a wealth of knowledge and experience in a business I was interested in, Paul had an extremely kind and friendly personality which made me feel I could talk to him about anything. Sometimes we would be standing out by our cars just chatting away for an hour after we finished rehearsals. He took me under his wing and helped me feel comfortable in playing my first gigs. Paul gave me so much encouragement and motivation also with regards to Super Monaco. He was always wanting to listen to demos and talk about ideas on where it could go. He wanted to help out playing bass, getting others involved with the production etc., and he made it seem like nothing was impossible to do. We also talked about doing covers on here as well so we could show some more of the bass parts in the Leppard songs. I'm devastated that he is gone and heartbroken for his family. I feel lucky to have known him this past year. I've only just recently began paying guitar again and I thought this would be what I should play. I will be back on all fronts soon with regards to covers, tutorials, analysis videos and eventually, I hope, Super Monaco. Until then, go have a listen to Power Quest and check out Paul. Ben x
