The Centre for Road Safety has launched its first online road safety program for NSW school kids featuring AFL Star Adam Goodes. The program will be available to more than 2,600 NSW primary schools for children in years 5 and 6 and includes video and interactive lessons for the classroom and at home with parents. Centre for Road Safety General Manager Marg Prendergast said the activities are crucial for this age group as students are starting to become more independent around the road environment. Safety Town was developed for Transport for NSW by the Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES) with representation from Department of Education and Communities, Association of Independent Schools the Catholic Education Commission and the Kids and Traffic program at Macquarie University. The Centre for Road Safety has been producing resources for the school curriculum for more than 25 years. Teachers will now be able to access our resources by tapping in online on their Interactive White Boards, in the computer room or on the iPad.
