Since its inception in 1999, the Crossroads Coffeehouse has grown from a modest gathering into a cherished community institution, thanks in large part to the leadership of Linda and Mark Kozina, lovingly known as the “PoCo Sweethearts,” and the dedication of Bill Marshall, the event’s maître d’ and key organizer. Together, they have created a space that fosters connection and supports a vital cause. Linda Kozina reflected on the Coffeehouse’s journey, emphasizing its deeper purpose. “It’s more than a musical fundraiser—it’s a community lifeline. This milestone represents the strength and love within the Tri-Cities,” she said. Bill Marshall, who has overseen countless evenings of music and camaraderie, shared his pride in reaching this significant goal. “It’s a privilege to see the community come together year after year, proving the transformative power of music and generosity,” he noted. Port Coquitlam City Councillor Nancy McCurrach celebrated the event with enthusiasm, saying, “This is amazing—to celebrate music and culture in a space where everyone can be who they want to be, while creating a cause that inspires them and others.” The evening was filled with heartfelt performances, shared memories, and gratitude as attendees celebrated not just 25 years of success but the promise of continued impact.
