Today, I visit KADA, one of Singapore's newest mall that has the oldest elevator in this country built by the British. KADA Hub is just 3 minutes from Maxwell MRT station. KADA is a new lifestyle hub in Maxwell Singapore, blending heritage charm with modern amenities. It was formerly a hospital but there are rooms for rent on level 3 if you need rest. Located at 5 Kadayanallur Street, this 1920s building has been revitalised to house a variety of cafes, fitness studios, and even a wellness hotel. It is found right next to the popular Maxwell Food Centre. Upon entering, you will be greeted by a selection of cafes. You will also spot an interesting feature – an electric lift. It is believed to be the oldest operational one in Singapore. Installed during the building’s initial construction, this lift has been carefully restored to maintain its historical integrity while ensuring reliable operation for visitors today. This is a 3 storey building, with a roof top cafeteria, many eateries, fitness centre and surprising accommodation for DIY stay booking. I hope you enjoy this video, until the next one.
