Today I'm silver brazing a seat stay bridge, cable guides, cable stops, and water bottle bosses (a.k.a. braze-ons) onto my mountain bike frame—and taking you along for the ride! I show a lot of the brazing up close, sharing tips about what to watch for to make sure you don't cook the joints and burn up the flux. I also share my thoughts about where I'm placing the braze-ons on the bike and why. At the end I discuss some tips for cleaning the flux off the frame.
