𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: The goal of this internet broadcast is to deliver focused, educational updates highlighting clinically relevant advances in the management of patients with CSID. 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬: Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to: 1. Describe the role of intestinal disaccharidases in health and disease 2. Summarize recent evidence regarding the epidemiology, presentation, and natural history of patients with CSID 3. Summarize the benefits and limitations of current diagnostic tests for CSID 4. Incorporate practical screening/diagnostic strategies to identify appropriates patients for screening, interpret test results accurately, and effectively differentiate CSID from other common GI disordered seen in clinical practice 5. Describe the role of dietary modification and enzyme supplementation in the management of patients with CSID 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the New Mexico Medical Society (NMMS) through the joint providership of Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services (RMCHCS) and GI Health Foundation.
