Everyone Should Consider some metrics about 2021 Yamaha Ray ZR Hybrid before buying the bike. Yamaha RayZR 125 Price: Yamaha RayZR 125 is priced from Rs 73,330 for the non-hybrid variant and from Rs 76,830 for the one with the tech. Both prices are for the drum brake-equipped variants. The one with a front disc brake costs Rs 79,830 for the hybrid version and Rs 76,330 for the one without. There’s also a sportier Street Rally variant with or without the hybrid tech. The former is priced at Rs 83,830, whereas the latter costs Rs 77,830. All prices ex-showroom Delhi. Yamaha Ray ZR 125 FI Features: The Yamaha Ray ZR 125 is equipped with a Smart Motor Generator (SMG), which ensures a quieter engine start without a separate conventional electric starter. It also doubles up as an electric motor in the Hybrid variant. The scooter comes with a start/stop feature, side stand engine cut-off function, a 21-litre underseat storage, and a fully digital instrument cluster. The disc brake-equipped variants of both the standard RayZR 125 Hybrid and RayZR Street Rally 125 Hybrid feature Bluetooth connectivity as standard. It allows the rider to access features like Ride History, Locate My Vehicle, Hazard Lamp function, Answer Back, and Parking Record. But it doesn’t get turn-by-turn navigation. Yamaha Ray ZR 125 FI Engine: The new RayZR 125 Fi is powered by a BS6-compliant, air-cooled, fuel-injected 125cc engine that produces 8.2PS at 6500rpm and 9.7Nm at 5000rpm. While the hybrid variants make the same power, the peak torque is up by 0.6Nm. So, they make 10.3Nm at the same rpm as the non-hybrid version. The mild-hybrid setup offers a brief surge in acceleration, thanks to the silent starter doubling up as an electric motor. It deactivates automatically after three seconds or once the preset rpm level is reached. The system also deactivates if the throttle is cut off. This system should help in offering better acceleration on traffic-riddled roads. Yamaha Ray ZR 125 FI Suspension & Brakes: The RayZR 125 uses a telescopic front fork and a single shock absorber at the rear. The RayZR uses a drum brake as standard, and has an optional 190mm disc brake. On the other hand, the Street Rally variant gets a front disc as standard. The rear comes with drum brakes on both models. The scooter rolls on 12-inch front and 10 inch rear alloy wheels with road-biased tyres in the standard model and block pattern rubber in the Street Rally version. At 99kg kerb, the RayZR 125 is the lightest scooter in its segment. Yamaha Ray ZR 125 FI Rivals: In its segment, the Ray ZR 125 competes with the Honda Grazia 125, Suzuki Burgman Street, TVS NTorq 125, Aprilia SR 125, and the Hero Maestro Edge-125.
