In the early 90s Hank was a fill in host for that night on what was a two hour block of obscure (and a few crossover) alternative rock themed music. He mostly introduced and came out of videos by other bands (and threw in a censored funny sexual story about the frontwoman from L7!), as well as made some inspiring speeches... First, a message to kids aspiring to join bands and the difference between being "awed" (too afraid to do anything) or "inspired" (making it all you want to do) by something. Second was about how the early 90s youth who were into grunge or whatever else was popular, should expand their musical horizons and get a broader taste, mentioning how he's also well known to be a fan of classic R&B, jazz, and other genres by being exposed to music via his mom as a kid.
