Iran Warns Of Escalation After US Israel Strikes, Hypersonic Missiles Raise Global Alarm

The conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran is entering a far more dangerous phase, raising fears of a wider regional war. The escalation comes after US and Israeli strikes targeted Iran’s strategic oil facilities, prompting Tehran to warn that its retaliation has only just begun. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi issued a sharp warning, saying that if Washington is seeking escalation, Tehran is prepared to respond. Soon after the strikes, Iran launched waves of drones and missiles across the Gulf, targeting locations linked to American allies. One of the most alarming incidents occurred in Kuwait, where an Iranian drone struck a high-rise building overnight. Military analysts believe Iran’s strategy could involve overwhelming advanced air defence systems. The first wave of attacks is expected to include large numbers of conventional ballistic missiles fired rapidly to saturate interceptor systems. Once those defences are stretched, more advanced weapons could follow. Among the biggest concerns is Iran’s hypersonic missile capability. Weapons such as the Fattah II hypersonic glide vehicle can reach speeds of up to Mach 15 and maneuver unpredictably during flight, making them extremely difficult to intercept.
