We open today’s Trackside episode with Chase Sexton firing back at keyboard warriors after another rough start. After battling from last to fourth, Sexton owned the mistake, called it boneheaded for a title contender—and then delivered one of the most honest responses we’ve heard, saying he wishes he could pull a fan from the comments and let them try being the fastest 450 rider in the world. At the front, Eli Tomac made it two wins in a row, earning his 55th career premier-class Supercross victory and inching closer to Jeremy McGrath’s all-time record of 72 wins. With Tomac now firmly in control and visibly comfortable on the bike, the question becomes unavoidable—if Tomac breaks the record, does that make him the new king of Supercross? Hunter Lawrence delivered one of the quietest but most threatening rides of the night, stalking both Ken Roczen and Tomac late in the race. Hunter admitted he doesn’t care much for qualifying or heat races, putting all his focus on the main—and it showed. His late charge nearly stole the win and caught Tomac completely off guard. Ken Roczen finished third after an intense battle up front, explaining that the extremely tacky, grippy whoops caught him off guard. Roczen emphasized that he’s staying away from the noise and enjoying the racing, calling the back-and-forth with Tomac and Hunter fun and demanding. With five lead changes, constant pressure, and elite-level racecraft, the San Diego 450 main was raw entertainment—and it revealed exactly who’s comfortable, who’s learning, and who’s still dangerous. 👇 Is Tomac writing history… or are we watching the start of an all-time run?
