USA Roadtrip: California, Las Vegas & Grand Canyon - An unforgettable Roadtrip

Hello. My name is Kristie. I'm from the Netherlands, currently living in Germany. Since I was little I loved travelling. When I met my boyfriend in the beginning of 2021, we try to travel as much as we can. Even though, he has a full time job and I have to finish my education, we take every opportunity to explore the world. America was one of the best trips we’ve ever had so far. California is so diverse. Starting with wearing a jacket in San Francisco, hiking in Yosemite National Park, and ending with the dreamy beaches in Los Angeles. San Francisco especially surprised us with its unique charm. The city is incredibly big, diverse, clean, and filled with colorful houses. Yosemite was a highlight on its own and highly recommended. After two days, we continued to Las Vegas through Death Valley. Death Valley was quite different from what we expected, and we’ll definitely come back, but during milder temperatures. Las Vegas was the highlight of the trip. Especially in the evenings, the city comes alive, and you don’t know where to look first. The water shows at the Bellagio Hotel were one of a kind. The Grand Canyon, with its deep gorges and colors, was breathtakingly beautiful. The Valley of Fire, with its dry and red landscape, had a special charm. After Las Vegas, we headed towards Los Angeles. On the way, we drove past a ghost town called Calico. It was well worth the stop and not crowded, though that might have been due to the 40°C temperatures. Once we arrived in Los Angeles, we immediately went to the Hollywood Sign. The Walk of Fame and the Downtown were rather disappointing. We spent the last day at the beach in Santa Monica, watching the sunset. America was a huge success, and we are already planning our next trip there. Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed my video.
