Join us for a walk in Ilfracombe, Devon, UK. We start our walk by the Landmark Theatre with it's interesting and unusual double conical design. We walk to Ilfracombe Harbour where we see Damien Hirst’s statue Verity standing guard at the entrance surrounded by dramatic clifftop scenery. Ilfracombe is a seaside resort on the North Devon coast, England, with a small harbour surrounded by cliffs. There are many private charters, sea cruise and coastal tour boat operators sailing from Ilfracombe harbour. A seasonal passenger ferry, operated by MS Oldenburg, connects Ilfracombe harbour to Lundy Island. Pleasure boats, including MV Balmoral and PS Waverley, operate seasonal cruises from Ilfracombe, including crossings to Porthcawl. The South West Coast Path connecting Minehead in Somerset to Dorset, via Land's End, passes through Ilfracombe town from Hele Bay to Lee Bay via Ilfracombe Harbour. Verity is a 2012 stainless steel and bronze statue created by Damien Hirst. The 20.25-metre (66.4 ft) tall sculpture stands on the pier at the entrance to the harbour in Ilfracombe, Devon, looking out over the Bristol Channel towards South Wales. Thanks for watching!
