Yo, what's up? I've been wanting to make a video about gatekeeping in the metal scene since I went to the Tons of Rock festival this year, where I'm reminded that "Oh yeah, not every metalhead is a cool dude. Not even a rad lad." Now I'm gonna find out if I'm a poser or trve cvlt 🤘 So I'm glad I got this one done, I had a lot of fun making it. Now, pros and cons: I think the subject matter is interesting and it's certainly something I know a bunch about! I got a ring light now, so I tested it in some of the sketches and I like it. Lamp give good light. haha. jk. But no, the lamp is good, gonna use it more (shame I didn't have it for the main rec sesh tho). I think because I was too into the subject matter my nerdiness kinda took over and I talked for way too long. Too much tell, not enough show in my opinion. If you can spot a nifty lil easter egg, or you one day are in need of fun trivia about this video, you can see how the lighting changed during the video. The start had great lightning (because I used natural light), but I spent SO LONG just speaking a coherent sentence I ended up spending 5 hours just recording the main "react and talk"-portion; that doesn't include the sketches I'm gonna work on being funny and relatable in an efficient manner going forward, thank you for your patience!
