At an early age, he learned the piano, the organ, and composed several “juvenile” pieces for both instruments. With a twofold musical and scientific background, he undertook to work for the software industry. After a career as a software designer, he renewed his compositional activities. Since then, he has composed various pieces for solo instruments, small ensembles, or chamber or symphony orchestras. Over the last decade, various soloists and small ensembles have performed his music worldwide. He received composition awards for such works as his “Præludium & fuga MMXVIII” for organ or his chorale “Vor Johann Sebastian, tret ich hiermit” for a nyckelharpa ensemble. This recording of his piano concerto in G minor is a worldwide premiere. He received his bachelor's degree from Biola University, master's degree from the University of Southern California, and doctorate at UCLA (full scholarship), all majoring in organ performance. Neil is a member of the Los Angeles chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO), ASCAP, and the Christian Fellowship of Art Music Composers (CFAMC). Dr. Stipp won first prize in the international 2010 AGO/ECS Publishing Award in Choral Composition for his anthem “May Your Life Be Filled with Gladness," and it was premiered in Washington, D.C. He has also won numerous ASCAPlus awards for the prestige value of his catalog of composed works. His works have been published by Darcey Press, LifeWay Christian Resources and E.C. Schirmer, and his music has been recorded on several different CDs created by Phasma Music. Neil currently enjoys his organist position at Immanuel First Lutheran Church in West Covina, CA, and is the college organist and artist-in-residence at Whittier College. When he’s not busy with music, his hobbies include hiking, Sudoku, skiing, and dining with his three sons. More at: www.neilstipp.com ✔️BRIAN FIELD’s music is an eclectic fusion of lyricism and driving rhythm that brings together elements of post-romanticism, minimalism and jazz. He has received a host of awards, including the RMN Classical recording prize, the Benenti Foundation recording prize; First Prize, Briar Cliff Choral Music Competition; and First Prize, Victor Herbert ASCAP Young Composers’ Contest among many others. Mr. Field began his musical endeavors at age eight with the study of piano, and began his first serious compositional efforts at sixteen, earning his undergraduate degree in music and English literature from Connecticut College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa. Devoting himself to composition, Mr. Field continued his musical studies at the Juilliard School in New York City where he was awarded his Master of Music degree. At Juilliard he was a student of Milton Babbitt. From Juilliard, Mr. Field attended Columbia University, earning his Doctorate. At Columbia, he was a President’s Fellow and studied composition with George Edwards and Mario Davidovsky. Mr. Field’s compositions include music for television and stage; solo acoustic, chamber, ballet, choral, States and internationally. More at: www.brianfield.com ✔️HARI KANAKIS was born in Nea Philadelphia, Athens, Greece in 1968. He studied Piano and Composition in the Greek Conservatory, the National Conservatory and the Athenian Music Association. He is member of the Greek Composers Union (GCU) and has composed many works for orchestra, choir, chamber music and piano which are played by distinguished soloists in Greece and abroad. He has also written music for theater and television and since 2002 deals with jazz-free style transcriptions of known Greek and foreign works on the piano, which shows at times at selected venues. He also deals with literature having written over thirty novels, theatrical monologues and many poems, some of which were awarded in national competitions.
