Winterizing Process for 2020 Mastercraft XT21 6.0L MPI

This is a step by step guide on my method to winterize the 2020 Mastercraft XT21 with the Ilmor 6.0L MPI engine, open cooled engine. Disclaimer: I am not a boat mechanic, this is just my method, use at your own risk! Tools 1. Oil and Filter Change 16mm and 10mm wrenches 2. 5/16” and 1/4” nut drivers for heater hoses and ballast 3. 16mm and 18mm wrenches for block draining Supplies 1. 7 gallons -60F antifreeze (purple) 2. 2 gallons -50F antifreeze 3. 5 quarts Rotella T4 4. Ilmor Oil Filter Engine and Heater Winterization Steps 1. Add Sta-Bil Storage to tank 2. Fill gas tank to 90% 3. Remove raw water intake hose from the sea strainer and attach to large hose extension with hose clamp 4. Place hose extension in bucket and turn on garden hose into bucket 5. Start the engine and modulate the garden hose flow rate to keep the bucket full without overflowing 6. Allow the engine to come up to temperature 7. Shut down the engine 8. Remove oil fill cap and slightly raise dipstick 9. Use oil extractor to remove oil from engine 10. Replace the oil filter 11. Add oil to engine 12. Start the engine again with the hose in the bucket like before 13. Bring engine back up to temperature 14. Shut down the engine 15. Drain block, 1 hose on each side and exhaust manifold, replace plugs 16. Remove heater hoses from Raw water pump and Circ pump, shop vacuum water from one side, then put one end in bucket of AF and suck AF through with shop vac. Reattach hose 17. Empty sea strainer and clean it out. Reattach. 18. Turn on heater, start engine with hose in AF bucket and suck in 6 gallons AF 19. Seal the fuel vent to prevent oxygen gumming of fuel 20. Use packaging tape to seal exhaust faps to prevent dirt and nesting rodents from entering the engine or exhaust system. Ballast Winterization Steps 1. Manual switch on empty all 3 tanks with boat on slope 2. Remove bags 3. Dump 3/4 gal AF into each open hose in inside locker to tank 4. For front ballast dump 1/2 gal AF into tank, replace impeller and cover 5. One at a time, Manually switch on drain all 3 tanks until pink AF comes out discharges 6.
