It was refurbished in 2018. In a future video we will take this funicular to give you a look at the ride. We suggest you grab a cheap ticket at any TCL kiosk, metro or tram station. It's only 3.60€ roundtrip or 1.80€ for one way if you want to walk back down. It's only a 2 minute ride, but a fun one and saves your legs fron the steep climb up. You'll also walk with us through Viuex Lyon, the oldest district in Lyon. It is now Europe's largest Renassance district and UNESCO World Heritage site. In a future video we'll go through an important traboule that not only served the silk merchants but also the French resistance.The buildings in the Viuex Lyon district have been preserved or restored to their former glory.
