I have used Bukit Kayu Hitam / Sadao border crossing for this trip. The following documents is required to drive your own car into Thailand: 1. TM2 Information of Conveyance form. – 2 copies 2. TM3 Passenger List form – 2 copies 3. TM6 Arrival/Departure white card - This was not required at the time of my travel 4. A valid passport. 5. Valid driving license - Malaysian driving is valid in Thailand 6. Vehicle registration card The following insurance is required for proper coverage while riding/driving in Thailand: 1. Compulsory Insurance - This is compulsory 2. Voluntary Insurance - recommended but not compulsory 3. Endorsement 101 - recommended but not compulsory 4. Travel Insurance - recommended but not compulsory I have done some research before my drive to Thailand.
