I'm playing the single-player campaign of Battlefield V on Hardcore difficulty (highest difficulty), covering the 2nd chapter “Nordlys”. This game play walk-through dives into the personal story of a Norwegian resistance member. The war stories in Battlefield V does well in highlighting the courage & sacrifice of those who were not part of the defense forces but were pulled in to fight nevertheless. Now, even in 2025, the graphics, background score, in-game sound and game play mechanics hold up to current standards. I enjoyed playing the first 2 chapters thoroughly and more will follow. So, grab yourself a cup o' Darjeeling and a couple of chutney sandwiches, kick back and enjoy the story of Solveig as she starts with a rescue mission, then gets into a survival situation and eventually completes a mission to destroy Germany's heavy water supply line. in "Nordlys". I wanted the Pistol as Primary, Kar98K as Secondary. In doing that, I encountered a glitch & could not bring up the scope, switch weapons or use the binoculars. I then used a third weapon as a swap and this solved the glitch. If you notice, when I swapped the in-hand K98K with other weapon at 00:17:26, the game actually placed the Suppressed Pistol. Side Note: As we follow these missions, it’s a powerful reminder of the millions who served— including the significant yet often overlooked contribution of India’s soldiers in both World Wars, one of the largest volunteer forces in history. Over 87,000 military personnel died and between 2-3 million civilians died due to war related famine in WW2 alone. These 2 books were a revelation to me : 1.
