The accused, Pushpalatha a native of Tamil Nadu was working at the apartment of MBA student Rashika She was hired to look after Rashika’s pets and paid Rs 23,000 per month with accommodation. According to police, Pushpalatha allegedly slammed the pet dog, Goofy, against the lift’s wall after taking it for a walk. She initially claimed the dog had died in a road accident, but CCTV footage told a different story. Investigators now believe the act may have been motivated by revenge, as the maid was earlier caught stealing and warned by her employer.
