TROY-- Investigators with Miami County Sheriff's Office, Troy police Department, and the United States Postal Inspection Service have busted a drug ring, that was using the post office to receive narcotics. Postal inspectors intercepted two packages on August 14th, each filled with six pounds of marijuana and addressed to two different homes in Troy. "We feel one of the involved parties has been involved for some time in distribution of narcotics in the Troy area," said Dave Duchak, Chief Deputy with the Miami County Sheriff's Office. Deputies watched while postal workers made planned deliveries of the pot filled packages to their intended destinations. Officers then apprehended the suspects, who were receiving the drugs, in two separate raids. Michael Adkins, Zachary Housley, and Natalie Keppel, all of Troy, were taken into custody and charged with felony possession of Marijuana. Sheriff's investigators obtained a search warrant for 1956 E. State route 41, the receiving address of one of the packages. They seized three firearms, LSD, a large amount of hashish, multiple pounds of marijuana, and almost $45,000 in cash from a safe inside the residence. The cash was sealed in plastic, which investigators say may help in their investigation. "Some of the packaging we try to finger print to try to see who's fingerprints develop on it," Duchak said. "There was a lot of traffic coming in and out of here, I'd say probably 6 to 8 cars per hour," said a neighbor near the second raid location
