Fill the void, bridge the gap, elephant in the room, give 'em what they want. OK, I'll stop. These phrases came to mind and represented what we wanted to address with our SAS API use case project. The work is in progress – but we have good, tangible results to share. This session introduces developers to the SAS REST API end-to-end use cases repository on sassoftware GitHub. Learn how to navigate it, how to use it and how to contribute to it. As SAS increases its focus on APIs and open-source integration, there’s a need to identify common use cases for APIs and provide concrete examples. The project focuses on enriching and simplifying SAS API documentation and provides end-to-end use cases. to the goal is to cultivate the developer experience which will ultimately increase adoption of SAS APIs. The repository compiles multiple use cases which are available in various coding languages. During the session, you’ll see the repository and be guided through a use casefrom authentication to processing the results. SAS encourages and facilitates user contributions to the GitHub repository. In addition, find out how users can create and share their own use cases.
