Totnes is a market town and civil parish at the head of the estuary of the River Dart in Devon, England, within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is about 5 miles from Paignton and about 7 miles from Torquay. The Town used to be strongly associated with Dartington College of Arts, now closed, and adopted a very colourful and somewhat bohemian character which is reflected in the style of shops and cafes on the High Street. It has a most interesting High Street which always has an eclectic mix of people using the shops and just spending time with friends. If you visit Totnes High Street you will nearly always come across street musicians and many people who love to wear colourful and individual clothes and hats to express themselves. The High Street always has a wonderful energy to it and in my experience it’s always a pleasure to visit .
