Gordon Lightfoot - Betty Called Me In (original 1976 demo)

This is an early version of the song that was released on 1999's "Songbook" box set. This version was recorded during the "Summertime Dream" album sessions, while the other sounds like it was re-recorded during the "Endless Wire" period as it falls more in line with sound of that album. This take has a slightly different arrangement and some alternate lyrics, also missing is Doug Riley's Keyboards. This was a bonus track included on the "Summertime Dream" vinyl re-release from a few years ago, and was said to be the same version from “Songbook” but to my surprise, it was a previously unreleased demo. The reissue vinyl in question has since gone out of print from my research. Enjoy! No Copyright Infringement Intended.
