Happy hiking ———————————————— #3 Annie’s Canyon Trail via North Rios Is near Solana Beach, California, within the San Elijio Lagoon Ecological Reserve. It is a 1.5 mile loop trail. Most of the trail is flat and is described as an easy level trail, although there are some stairs at the end of the canyon. It is a short trail and can be enjoyed with family and friends. It is an out and back trail and less than a mile long. It is one of the shortest hikes in the county of San Diego. But don’t let the distance fool you. This trail is rated difficult due to the slippery edges and rock scrambling, as well as a rope usage if you decide to head down to the beach.
