A control chart is used to record data and find unusual events such as a very high or low observation compared to typical process performance. Common control charts will be discussed, and the terminology used in SPC will be explained. Jennifer Hellrung is a quality engineering specialist with 3M Company. She has over 20 years of experience in quality and statistical consulting. Currently she works with cross-functional teams within her company as well as suppliers and customers to ensure products meet customer needs. Jennifer has taught numerous statistical and implemented and taught SPC at several global sites. Jennifer received a B. S. in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Statistics from Iowa State University. She lives in the Minneapolis area with her husband and three daughters.
