Sweet Moments as Big Bull Fishan & Baby Elephant Khanyisa Dig Up Roots Together!

Zindoga gets the ball rolling, so to speak... starting the root-digging progress for all the elephants, but he's interrupted by the big presence of Fishan, who is older and higher in status than Zindoga, and certainly more powerful. A little helper joins in and puts her own tiny tusks to work... Khanyisa! Zindoga moves on and leaves the root-digging to Fishan. Allomother Bubi watches closely as the towering Fishan breaks, kicks, dusts, pulls... all beside the much tinier baby elephant at his feet. Fishan is very careful not to step on any toes or trunks. Later allomother Klaserie takes over looking after Khanyisa, who as the youngest in the herd and only 3 years of age now, still needs the most protection from the herd. Klaserie is a very willing babysitter and as curious and confident as always as she gives Adine a good sniffing with that trunk of hers. It's wonderful to watch these peaceful bonding times among the elephants and certainly always calms us after a busy day.
