This particular butterfly valve has a ductile iron body with a nickle plated disk and buna seat. This type of butterfly valve is used in lower pressure applications. The concept of a butterfly valve is very simple. You have a stem the rotates the disk open and closed. A butterfly valve can be positioned in various ways used to regulate pressure. They are very straight forward. There are various types of butterfly valves but this one is a more common and cheaper type. I hope this video was helpful.
