Coal Train Clanks Over Trestle Filmed While On Bridge , CSX Train Diverging Under C&O Signals, MOW

Cool Train Stuff In Louisa, Kentucky! CSX Train Changing Tracks At Old Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Signals Still In Use. Coal Train Crossing Railroad Trestle Over A River. Railroad maintenance of way equipment inspecting the track prior to a CSX train and big high rail truck spraying herbicide. These trains are in Louisa, Kentucky on the Big Sandy Sub. Also includes a night train at a railroad crossing next to the motel that I stayed in. I almost forgot about the tunnel that I drove through. I came to Louisa, Kentucky to film trains passing the old C&O signals and crossing the old railroad bridge next to a one lane automobile bridge. I stayed overnight at the Budget Inn which is just a hundred feet from the tracks. I went to the area with the old signals and automobile tunnel first. The signals were lined for an eastbound train so I waited until after dark. The train never came until about 10pm so I ran out of the motel and filmed it at the crossing. The next day I got up early and waited at the tracks for a train. I heard someone calling out the signals on 160.230 and I heard the EOT chirping on 452.9375 so I figured I was in luck. However, a high rail truck went by followed by a weed spraying truck. I thought I had wasted my time until I remembered that I heard the EOT chirping. Sure enough, a train passed by just before noon. Then I went to Wendys and came back to wait for another train while eating a salad and other junk. Just a minute before 2pm a coal train finally comes and I filmed it crossing the ancient railroad bridge. I filmed it while standing on the narrow one lane auto bridge. My goals were met! We also see a train that I filmed at night with my Number 3 camera. This train came by at 10pm and was the first train that I saw on the CSX Big Sandy Sub. I filmed other trains on my way down to Louisa. While I was in Louisa the CSX line had 4 trains in the light and 3 or 4 in the dark in a 24 hour period. The trains in the light were at about 11am, 2pm, 5pm and 7:30pm. The night trains were at about 10pm, 11pm and midnight. There is also a Norfolk Southern line in nearby Fort Gay, West Virginia that you can hear very clearly from the motel. It is only a half mile away. NS trains use 161.250 and the EOT frequency. I can't decide which thumbnail pic to use for this video. I did have a pic of the train going under the old C&O signals but at 2pm on April 15, I changed it back to a pic of the train crossing the bridge.
