Israel bombs rescue workers in “double tap strike” on Nasser Hospital, killing MEE reporter

A horrific video shows Israeli forces bombing ambulance and civil defence crews as they were rescuing victims at the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis. The second strike came moments after an earlier attack on the hospital, which killed journalist and Reuters photographer Hossam al-Masri. Among those killed in the follow-up strike was Mohammed Ashraf Salama, one of Middle East Eye’s main reporters in Gaza, alongside other journalists and members of the civil defence and ambulance crews. The rescue teams were deliberately targeted during a live broadcast on Al-Ghad TV, in what is known as a “double tap strike” — hitting emergency responders after an initial bombardment.
